Last night at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, Jay-Z brought a small boy on stage with Rihanna and himself and now people are asking if that was Jay-Z’s son. Unfortunately it’s not Jay-Z son, but rather his nephew Jules. Jules is the son of Beyonce’s sister Solange.

It was a night of pure GRAMMY gold for R&B songstress Beyoncé, who picked up six wins, a record for a female artrist, at the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards, including Song Of The Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Contemporary R&B Album. Country sensation Taylor Swift was the evening’s runner-up with an impressive four GRAMMY wins, including taking Album Of The Year for Fearless, besting Beyoncé.

Black Eyed Peas and Kings Of Leon won three GRAMMYs each, the latter picking up the coveted Record Of The Year for “Use Somebody.” Picking up two GRAMMYs each were Eminem, banjo maestro Béla Fleck, composer Michael Giacchino, Lady Gaga, Maxwell, Jason Mraz, and conductor Michael Tilson Thomas.

And in an evening of spirited, sometimes joyous performances, the broadcast’s more reflective moments might have been its most memorable. Following a star-studded tribute to Michael Jackson, the King of Pop’s children appeared, brave-faced and in armbands, to accept an award on his behalf. Later, Andrea Bocelli and Mary J. Blige sang a stirring duet of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” to raise funds for earthquake-devastated Haiti.

BIG AL SAYS: NORMALLY I’M ALL HO-HUM, BUT THIS SHOW WAS GREAT…LOVED THE COLLABOS ON THIS SHOW. REALLY MADE IT FAN-FRIENDLY, NOT HOT AND STUFFY LIKE BEFORE. AND THE ARTISTS STEPPED THEIR PERFORMANCE GAME UP AND TOOK CHANCES.

WILL SMITH  is thinking of a career change. Rumor has it that Will Smith has been seriously thinking about a career in politics.

Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith told press, “Will is thinking about going into politics. He once said he could imagine becoming a US president. He wasn’t joking; he was quite serious about it.”

It’s all part of leaving a legacy for posterity, says Jada.  “Will and I want to leave traces on this planet – and with that I mean more important traces than just films.”

American Idol Season 8 had “Bikini Girl.” This year, talent show fans were treated to the vocal stylings of “Barney Girl,” a former child star with a whip!

Dallas native Erica Rhodes starred on the children’s television classic Barney & Friends in the early ’90s. Now a 23-year-old grad student, it looks like Erica’s been working overtime to get rid of the “Loser Stick” that can come with being an ex-Barney kid later in life. Greg Oden, the Blazers center and first overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft, is sorry about the naked pictures of him that appeared online Tuesday. Oden told the media Tuesday night that the nude photos are “very embarrassing,” and said he “would like to apologize to everybody: Portland, the fans, the organization.”

Oden, speaking in somber tones and not shying away from questions, said that when he learned that the pictures reached the internet, “my heart dropped.” He says the pictures were take more than 18 months ago for a “lady friend.”

A pal tells UsMagazine.com that Beatz, 31 (who is currently divorcing wife Mashonda), proposed with a 7-carat sparkler right before her big day; the happy couple were photographed strolling on a Hawaii beach the day of the proposal, Jan. 24.

Keys’ rep denies she is engaged, but another friend reveals, “They are currently in Hawaii celebrating the engagement and her birthday. She feels blessed.”

Adds the pal: “She is thrilled. She is with the man who has inspired so much of her music and her new album [The Element of Freedom].”

The “Dancing Inmates” from Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center are paying homage to the King of Pop again. The inmates at the maximum security prison in the Philippines rose to fame after they choreographed their own rendition of Michael Jackson’s iconic “Thriller” video in 2007. The video became a viral smash, and the prisoners have gone on to perform several other tributes to MJ, like this one:

The guys were recently treated to a visit by Michael Jackson’s long-time choreographer Travis Payne and dancers Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid, where they learned the steps that would have featured on Michael’s 2009 comeback tour, “This Is It.” The new video — which debuted on Friday — is already approaching 1 million views on YouTube.

The Vice President for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals” has labeled Kanye West an idiot, after the chart-topping rapper and his girlfriend were seen wearing fur coats during Paris’ Men’s Fashion Week.

The photographs of West and his girlfriend Amber Rose have ruffled the feathers of the higher up’s at PETA.

The pair wore matching full-length lynx coats during a show at Men’s Fashion Week and according to PETA, refused to remove them.  

“Kanye can’t help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show,” PETA V.P. Dan Matthews stated. “He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo.”
